For a photoshop lover, this feature might make them really excited.
Photoshop CS3, the new release of Adobe Creative Suite Software, again, giving their users another surprise!
If you have ever use photoshop CS2 before, I’m you will love this feature.
Adobe have expand their Panels that usually at the right side of the screen.
Before on CS2 version, the panel that usually places on the right side of your workspace is in a form of a floating windows.
Now, on CS3 you will find out that the panel is sticked to the right side. All panels are in there together. below picture will show you how they are united into one:
This picture show you the fully expanded panels. It’s true that they are still a windows on every panels, but they are all stick together in one row of sidebar.
And the real improvement in not this, but it’s the ability for all the above panels become like this:
Photoshop called it “Panel Collapsed to Icons”. This feature let you to free you workspace even more than before by converting the panel into an icons like above picture.
And you also will spot out a black area on the sidebar. Which is a new feature too. ![]()
This black area prevent your document from overlapping with the panels after you maximizing your documents. It’s mean that your document will stayed in-the-box.
This features are a good development. It make me feel “neat” when browsing around the sidebar panel. Of course this sidebar in no fix in there. You also can undock the panel and bring back the old memories of floating panel anything you want!
Just Click, and Drag it out, then release your mouse. as easy as that! ![]()

Yes! The new panels in photoshop CS3 look great - a worthy improvement! I just wish that they would upgrade the interface in Dreamweaver CS3 - it needs it. I cant remember the last time that dreamweaver cs3 got a real GUI update
