You have heard about Nero, haven’t you?
He was the tyrant who burned Rome to an ash! Well, I don’t know how fire can burn something quickly after my own witnesses to the fire that happened at my office back ground! Nero-like Town Burning! ![]()
I happened to snap a piece of photo with my Handphone when the fire just started its activities to burn the houses. See below!

All happened In 2 hours or so and the result is in this below picture (taken a day after the tragedy):

The red mark indicated the same building on the both of the photo. I have never been so close to a fire-scene and this was my first time in my life. I saw the building melting and got burned one by one just in the front of my eyes. Peoples screaming and crying of their home that got burned to ash!
When My office staffs started to screaming and began to pack all our important documents and stuffs, I had to pack my things too! I don’t have time do snapshot anymore. around 200 more meters, the fire would gulp our office!
Luckily, the firemen arrive quicker than we have expected, and with the help of the winds, they managed to extinguished major part of fire that comes to our direction.
I don’t know how to describe how luck we are, our loss was only 1/5 part of our building at the back. Building’s wall got blacked by the fire temperature, Rubber made windows got melted like ice creams, and all glasses that attached on the windows were broken to pieces!
Small part of our warehouse at the back also got burned, but because of an immediate rescues from the firemen, we managed to protect all stocks in the warehouse.

The warehouse’s roof that got melted and broken by high temperature & dropping woods.

Melted Fans inside the exhaust machine and the melted pipes.
Comparing the the burned houses, Our loss is very minor. I’m really pity of them. Around 800 peoples lost their house (500+ houses got burned to ash), and it’s claimed by the government that this fire-tragedy was the biggest one this year in Jakarta. We happen to donate to the Citizens to ease their pain…
Everything is still in a mess now. But, We manage to recovered the windows’ glasses and roof today. Nobody got serious hurts, Just a minor injuries from the exhausting fire-rescues activities.
Thanks to god!
Oke, about blogging now…
When will I start blogging…? Hmm… That’s the real question that I must ask myself. Although I’m very busy helping everything to settle down after the fire, I still happen to check my blogging statistic.
Results?
As you can see, my blogtopsites statistic is drop from 60+ to 100+ today, and almost all statistic is dropping seriously since 21st. I don’t want to see any dropping anymore, so I will start my blogging activities again this night! ![]()

hahaha. I was busy saving our live and documents. No time to make MV for this tragedy!
But, you can try to find the indonesia news site. use the keyword “kebakaran di Sawah Besar 21 Juni 2007″ in google. They may have a MV for this event.
I saw a helicopter that day. May be they have a record on it.
