Blogging on an over saturated niches is not a wise first step to your own success. You will feel discourage, or unable to turn the situation around because too much competition ahead to break you mental like breaking glasses. In this post, I share you my personal story about my mistakes to tapped on saturated niche and how I turn it around.

Believe it or not, blogging on blogging is not the tao to make money online anymore. The reason is because the blogging subject has been covered by whole lots of expert like Darren and Lorelle. It’s never become easier to find topic that they haven’t covered to blog about.

As far as I learn, this niche isn’t where the Tao of Online Money Wealth located. You should seek for other niche or may be you can keep spinning your blog to another type of blogging niche that not discussing about blogging but have the relation with it.

For example, you may cover the coding and design if you have the interest and a set of skills in this subject. Or you may be can spin the subject to some other mentality development subject to empower a blogger’s soul.

Blogging on Blogging is dead because it’s saturated or jammed by blogger. You’ll just keep echoing the idea from experts (You know, there are so many of them out there and they might have covered most of the evergreen articles) and you can’t pull much attention from readers.

Although there is an advice about being a purple cow in your niche, blogging niche is certainly not a great niche kick some ass anymore. You will struggle sooo hard to be able to get some benefit out of it.

While you can actually get lots of benefits from other niches, why you should struggle your life-and-death in blogging niche?

Except you are a great blogger like Lorelle, you might be able to find some great idea to turn this around and keep exist in the strive competition. How about if you are a complete beginner?

One word - Avoid it.

Guru like Yaro also say the same sentence. Avoid to blog your subject about blogging. It won’t worth your time.

I tasted the experience and I’ve felt the result. To tell you frankly, I build this blog by focusing around 70% of my roam time and 30% for other project. Believe it or not, other blogs that stand on a different niches, is proved to be able to generate much more income than this blog!

I was surprised too. At first, I thought if I devoted more on a blog so I can get better result! But that principle seems to be wrong.

Almost 90% of my income is not from this blog. At first, this blog is genuinely blogging on blogging tips, tricks and tweaks. My old readers will know what I’m talking about. At the time, I got no serious traffic from search engines, only from some famous social media like digg.com and StumbleUpon (with the helps from my buddies).

I decided to take a different action to spin my presentation. The result are, since I spin my subject slowly away from blogging (getting away from blogging but still related to it) , I’ve seen some nice improvement in search engine traffic, referral, and more subscribers to my feed.

Those action give me an understanding about:

Targeting a popular niches with a different approach and perspectives is better than meddling inside those niches.

This is my understanding as far as my experience growth. Blogging on Blogging is a hardcore road to blogging success. As an advise, try to switch your attention to what you love to do, instead of putting your perspective on what other peoples love.

Follow where your passion is, and the money will follow you.

It’s wise not to follow the same mistake as I did. Don’t play with fire and be a little obedience to what those experts teach us. For sure, we’ll get what we want!

There are 70.000.000+ of Blogs out there?

Or, do you know that:

On every time you take a breath in and out, around 6 New Blog is born and try to claim to the top?
(assuming you breath in and out for 2 seconds each)

70 Millions of Blog? Are you kidding me? 3 New blogs for every 1 seconds?

See the fact here.

Yes, I know it’s an outdated statistic, but fact remain fact, and it’s growing!

To witness a new blog born every second is unbelievable. When you finish making your post, Thousands of new blogs already born and ready to compete with you? Can you overcome this situation if you are a newbie in the blogosphere?! Could you compete with them?

…

Well, don’t worry about it, anyway!

There is another fact that quite helpful. It’s a fact that you can either use it as your motivation or to slap you down to the ground. Depend on your perspective, btw.

The fact is as below:

Some Study said that from the 70.000.000+ millions of blogs, 98% will not be able to survive the first month of blogging due to some critical factors. Only 2% of the rest that could maintain stable and move on to the next month.

So, the rough calculation is:

70.000.000 x 98% = 68.600.000

70.000.000 - 68.600.000 = 1.400.000 Active Bloggers

Yup, only 2% that could resist the first month trials and errors. But the fact is not end here. There is another level of natural selection that proved to be able to ‘disqualifying’ many bloggers after the third and the sixth month of blogging.

This is a kind of myth around the blogosphere about the ‘3 months barrier‘ and ‘6 month wall‘. It’s the period where people get their biggest challenge in blogging and where lots of blogger fail to break the barrier or jump through the wall. The question is, could you going through all of this?

Only you can answer. I can’t make any answer for you and everyone who come and read this post. I only know how I passed this stage and successfully entering the my first day of month 7.

Well, as you may know, my blog is not as bombastic as others, who could ‘up and running fast’ in the matter of 3- 4 months. I move as slowly as turtle. But I could make sure that I’m walking firmly toward my goals.

I believe, the elements that have helped me to go through all of the obstacles and trials are as below:

Faith & Beliefs

Persistence

Positive Thinking

Think the Big Picture

Endurance

Teachable

It doesn’t mean I have these elements back from the start. The only element that I have at the time is faith. It is faith that bring me through all of the obstacles and obtained all other elements to support my journey to my goals together with the visibility amongst the crowd of 70 millions fighters.

To Stay visible inside of the 70 Millions blogs, you must begin within yourself. Do your blog visible in your heart? or Do you have a Faith on your Blog that it will be visible?

There are 5 kind of faith to maintain before getting your blog truly visible:

Faith to Yourself

Faith to your Blog

Faith to your Goals

Faith to Blogger

Faith to the Process

Faith keep your blog running and in a long term, without questioning the difficulty that you will face. these 5 faith pillar of support is my own theory of self-support.

Faith toward myself enable me to create pillar contents everyday. Faith to my blog will result to my action to Promote my blog to my friends or foes.

Faith to my Goals reflected to my Never-Ending expansion of Knowledge and Niche.

Faith to blogger make me love and trust every blogger that get near me.

And lastly, faith to the process by believing God have the supreme grace all over me and abundant of wealth for me to enjoy at the end of my journey.

Tired of reading faith, huh?

That’s my element and I hope it will suit you. It’s something that is pretty simple to get but hard to maintain.

It’s depend on you now. The answer to my headline “How to stay visible inside of 70 Millions blogs?” is all up there.

Note:
I joined Court’s Group Writing Project with the subject on internet marketing. This post is the post about Popularity. I asked Court whether I can take charge of the ‘Popularity’ topic (not in the list) in the comment box. And yes, he replied me back with a question about the title. Well, this is the post title along with the content, Court!

I don’t clearly using popularity as the topic, though. Instead, I translate it into ‘visibility’. I believe, if a person is visible in the blogosphere, then he must be very popular!

For you who have a decent skills in internet marketing, you may join this group writing project to increase your visibility though Court’s blog. Court will publish all the links Next Monday (Deadline is this Saturday!) So, If you are interested, hurry up and book a seat for your blog post now!

Cheer!

I’ve got an invitation from CLIQin this morning. After reading the invitation message, I evoke my browser and point to CLIQin.com to find out more about the offer to increase my readership and popularity.

When I arrived at the site, I see a big ball of rubber. Well, may be it’s just an illustration to the slogan “Band Together”.

After awhile of clicking here and clicking there, I’ve finally comes up with my own description about what CLIQin is.

CLIQin have the similar system with the Hot “BlogRush”. It’s also about sharing your posts in other’s blog within the widget (see my sidebar).

You will notice that my widget is still blank with only one content of my own blog post. You will need to invite your friend to join your CLIQ and share their post inside your widget.

Other user of CLIQ may become interest in your CLIQ and decided to join your CLIQ. You have two options to set to your CLIQ:

an open enrollment (which anybody could join), or

Private (need a approval before being accepted into your CLIQ)

In CLIQin, you either have the choice to be the leader, or leave your own CLIQ and join others. CLIQin is not allowing you to have your own CLIQ while you join with other’s.

May be it’s like no 2 kings in one kingdom. It’s a good feature for controlling the directory to go nuts with CLIQs in the future.

Every member in the CLIQ will start to share their blog post in your widget. Of course, your post will start to show up in their blog too. It’s kind of equivalent trade.

I think it’s the feature that differentiate CLIQin from BlogRush. We have the unique control of what are you going to show to your blog reader.

You also have the control to display what is the featured post of your own choice using the “featured Content Rules” on the control panel or right within the widget itself.

There are 3 options to choose:

Feature My “Most Recent Post”

Feature My “Long Tail”

Manual Selection

Featuring Long Tail means to expose your post that have least total views. Which is promising to give an extra exposure for your old posts.

Well, I guess you will not immediately getting a great exposure to your blog. Why? In my personal observation, I was the number 17 member until today.

CLIQin is still new and just launched into the BETA stage. So, it will not give you a good traffic yet.

May be it will be like Blogrush, CLIQin may not be able to have a high conversion rate or click through to your blog. It may be as low as Blogrush have, so consider to add this widget and track the performance. If it’s not giving you any improvement, you could always delete it with no second thought.

I also found some lacking in their feed system. I was using the Feature my Most Recent Post option and the widget show me my last 4 months post. I wonder if the system is down or something.

Well, If you are interested, Join my CLIQ to show your post on my widget now.

~~~
On every Wednesday, I will post about Popularity & Bloggerity Topic in this blog. It’s my steps toward my focus on presenting the content to feed your brain. Hope to receive some feedback and support. Consider subscribing to my feed or via email to receive update on this blog (6 posts a week only - will not overloaded you will information). Thanks!
