<p align="center"?

It's a nuts research done by me to prove "Communication Channel" is the factor that decide your blog's "live or dead". It's a 1 week testing and the result is amazing! You better read this before anything to avoid the same result as what I've got!

You may have notice some downgrade on this blog. Actually, I was testing some method that Yaro Starak teach on his blogmastermind blueprint.

He said that the “Communication Channel” is very important for a blog. I read his Blogmastermind blueprint and kind of curious what is the effect if I let it go instead of building it..

Read his blueprint on page 25-26 and you will know what I’m talking about.

That’s where I decided to take a 1 week testing directly on this blog. The result is truly amazing. Although I’ve got an upgrade of PageRank (currently 4 now), It still unable to make any change to the stats.

Total of 3 downgrades happening on this blog during the testing:

Alexa from 70.000+ down grade to 83.000+

Comment counts decrease significantly

Traffic decrease by 30%! :O

Seriously, it’s a great experience for me. What I’ve done is just staying normal on my own posting frequency and become passive on any blogs that I happened to visit often.

It’s amazing to see how everything is dropping continuously during the test. I realized something that pretty important for improving my blog visibility, though..

You may think I’m silly enough to allow my stats drop intentionally. It’s strange, right? Well, I love to test something to prove and taste the failure itself. I believe failure is the mother of knowledge. No failure no serious gain.

Of course, I have gained a serious self-enlightenment on what Yaro so called “Communication Channel”. It’s not simply by reading and understands his statement (Blueprint - p25-26), I actually “feel” the painful experience of losing the communication channel in my blog.

In this test, I’ve proved 6 things:

Regular Updating is useless if you just ‘Update’ alone

Content is not the true King. I create pillar contents regularly, but the stats keep falling

PageRank means nothing but a green bar on your browser

Alexa actually useful - Alexa represent the big picture of your blog

Number of comment that you will get on your blog is depend on your activities within your niche.

Social Media Mass Submitter like Onlywire is useless in bringing traffic. It’s all about incoming links only.

The more you active and take part in conversations, the more people will value your visit and they pay you with an attention on your blog. It’s about Give first and take later.

You need to consistently work out the schedule (set some if you don’t have). It’s useless if you active for 1 month and stop for the next one month. You will back to your start point again.

Except you have reach the Bigger communication channel, and have a bunch of loyal readers that could help you promoting your blog without your private request to them, your blog won’t have a bright future.

It’s very important to reach that point (reaching a bigger CC) before you can try to relax yourself or try to entering to your comfort zone by not commenting or building relationship regularly.

I risk my own stats to do this research, but I’m happy about it because it’s a great experience for me to see exactly how the things working around. Now, I understand ‘deeply’ that Blogging is about communication with the surrounding. It’s not about make a post everyday and get it stumbled or dugg by other and then go missing into the wood of blogs, It’s all about building relationship.

It’s time for me to get up and running again. I’m going to do a round 2 testing directly on this blog. But now, I will try to build the communication channel instead of regular daily update. Let’s see what will happen on next week.

Cheer!

Note: I’m not playing around with my blog future. Instead, I want to taste exactly how is the ‘feeling’ of each theory (I’m a kinesthetic type of human - feeling better than observing and listening) . I’ve done enough reading and observing on other achievement and theory. It’s time to ‘feel’ instead of ‘understand’.

Any comment, opinions, objections? Please do it below.

As a blogger, you audience is your king. You may have heard a lot about content is the king around the web (including this blog at this post). Now, I’m going to tell myself and you that this perception is wrong.

Content is important but content without audience is useless. Your reader or audience is the true king that has been hiding in the dungeon of your kingdom. We keep thinking content is the king and seldom realize of our reader, should be on the thrown long time ago.

We try as hard as we can to create quality content for ‘ourselves’ and not for our reader. We must make our reader as our top priority and act upon on their wishes to gain a higher stats of traffic and conversion. Have you ever heard about “You must serves customer like serving a the king!” statement?

Why Priority?

In Japan, a lot of shop owners and officers will serve their customers like a ‘king’ and make them as comfortable as they can. They obey the rule of ‘customer is the king’ extensively and make them as a priority.

Why? Because when customer feel comfortable, they will come back more often and buy what you recommends. It’s a common psychology by the way…

In the blogosphere, blog is your ’shop’. You are the owner and you must pay attention to you attitude when someone visiting or commenting at your blog.

By making you reader as your top priority, we seed the follow feeling inside everyone’s heart who visit our blog:

Privilege

Satisfaction

Protection

Friendship

Who don’t want to be serves like VIP everywhere they go?

by making your reader as your top priority, you will be able to give a privilege or special services for them. Every Special services or VIP exclusive privilege will stimulate a customer satisfaction.

In our term, it could stimulate blog reader’s satisfaction. Continuously feeling satisfy with your services will bring out more feeling of being protected by you (privacy protection). Finally, they will be your loyal friends and visitors (repeated visit).

It’s a chain-like reaction. One connected with each other and bring up a harmony of priority.

How to make reader a Priority?

Actually, it’s not hard. You could actually start it today and continue to do it for your whole blogging period. You only need to realize it and responsive to your reader’s mind.

By the way, do you know how to serve these following peoples?

Your Filthy Rich Boss

Your Beloved Father/Mother

Your Sweet Girl Friend/Macho Boy Friend

Or anyone that is important and you can’t live with him/her

According to my own experience, I will serve them like this:

Pay attention to their Need

Act upon their request or Need

Love them

Be useful

Be a protector

Be kind

The answer may vary across everyone’s mind. Everybody know how to care their beloved one, right? Choose your best answers, and that answers will become your principles to serve your blog’s reader!

In my cases, my upcoming principles to make my reader my priority is by:

Knowing what is their information needs

Post about what they needs

Love their idea and opinions

Create useful contents (Information, tutorial, tips and news)

Avoid making readership as my commodity to sell ads

Replying all comments that need a reply

etc

Some Self-Introspection:

Have I make my Reader my Top Priority?

To tell you frankly - No, I haven’t. The sign of well service blog is on the subscribers count and overall comments on each posts. Reader will love to subscribe and comment at your blog if you serve them well.

So why I made this post today?

As my self-reminder that I’m still lack on making my reader as my top priority, and if you are a blogger, I’m inviting you together with me to improve our blog for a better service in the future!

The key is, treat your reader like treating yourself.

Have a nice Tuesday!

Have you ever been jealous with other’s achievement? I’m sure, if you are a blogger, you might happen to be jealous with other blogger’s stats and earning.

Please erase that thinking. I know some of their achievement are so amazing that will make your stress over your own achievement.

Take a look at Everton’s earning here.

There are 2 common emotions will appear after you read the post:

Feeling Jealous, and

Feeling Challenged!

Jealousy is the prove of our lack of self-esteem and self-awareness. I’m also happened to be a person who jealous of other’s achievement couple months ago. I could never bear with John Chow’s earning and Shoemoney’s adsense check!

Yes, I think it’s human’s natural habit to feel that way. My advise is, don’t. Don’t feel jealous, instead, shift your feeling to a positive one or make it as a challenge for yourself.

Why don’t be jealous?

Because when you are feeling jealous, you will do nothing but keep complaining if they are cheater, or the net is cruel to you. You will waste your time for nothing just to check at their stats and keep finding how they make that amazing income although working part-time.

Jealousy will make us feel angry, and don’t want to communicate or make the blogger as your death-or-alive eternal enemy instead learning from him how to achieve the same goals.

Try hard enough to think reversibly and take it as a challenge. Could you reach his earning after 2-3 years of blogging? Could you bear to write 1 post a day and write 1095 posts continuously for the next 3 years? Or may be more??

It’s an easy task if you think it’s easy. If you could make it happen, your life will be easier.

What you have seen in their earning and traffic stats is the fruits from the trees they planted last 3 years. Not the matter of overnight result like betting of horse race and win the first prize.

Shift your thought to positive one. Instead of jealous of other’s achievement, why don’t you put your time to create more excellence posts to blow your reader away?

Blogging not only about creating post, is also about how effective you can use your energy toward any aspect of your life, including relationship with others. Personally, I think blogging is like a our life, and blogosphere is our environment.

As long as you live harmonically with your environment, every part of your life will begin to rise slowly according to your dreams.

So, my 2 cents advise is:

no Jealous, ok?

Make life a better place by helping & adoring each other instead of feeling jealous. It won’t help you with anything but destroying your own bright future.

Thanks for taking your time to read this post. See ya again in the next post. Please do comment if you have objection or opinion.

Update:

I will post about ‘Blogger relationship’ topic every Tuesday starting today. I will have more focus topic on each day of every week.
