I’ve seen all of my stats and traffic drop significantly and I know I should do something to turn the table around and set a new direction for the better future of this blog.

Although a new theme is created for this blog, IT doesn’t bring more traffic. It’s only an eyes-candy and a visual attraction for increasing readiness of reading and understanding ( and… some targeted clicks on ads too. ).

The future of this blog is going to be more on to technical matter. Just like what this blog meant to be long time ago. It’s My Sites Advisor, its goals is to sharing simple yet effective tips to build a better sites/blogs and not about how to make money with it bluntly.

Anything about making money tips and earning boosting matter I’ll hand it over to those A-list bloggers like Darren (problogger.net), John (johnchow.com), Cow, Conn(Garry Conn) and many other great MMO niche bloggers.

I’ll retreat from there and cover only the technical matter and better marketing tips to increase traffic and visit to your blog (you who read this blog). Not about how to monetize the traffic anymore.

It’s a hard decision for me and I took months of time to decide this new direction. I think I must do what I like and where I have skill instead of following the crowd to blindly blog on something that I need to learn from zero.

Well, let’s see what I will presented for you in the upcoming days. I’ve numerous blogs that I blogged at now, so it’s depend on the sum of free time to update this blog. I will update this blog as I found new idea or new technical tips for blog building. But don’t worry, I will update regularly now and forward. Blogging is so much fun and I can’t live without it anyway…

Sorry for you guys who have a chance to chat with me lately. I’m in a desperate condition and said something wrong and want to quit blogging. No, I won’t quit although the sky fall down on my head!

I guess I need to give a short report about my condition and situation that made me unable to blog for 5 months (yeah, it’s a long and boring holiday for me). I’m not actually having a holiday for that long. A long white beard could have been grown healthily on my chin!

The truth is, on the early december I suffered from a serious illness that I can’t even explain it in English. I lost 10 pounds because of this illness (a virus exactly) and I have become a more sexy than before (all my ribs looks like a guitar strings. I can play guitar with it now! ).

It takes two months to cure this strange illness and 1 month to recovered. I got to stay in the bed laying there doing nothing but staring at the pale ceiling. It’s really a nightmare for me who love to do lots of activities and move around a lot.

Well, it has passed and now it’s a whole new life for me to begin something great. As you can enjoy now, MySitesAdvisor have a new blog redesign again. I guess I need to have a new and fresher theme for welcoming myself to the blogosphere.

I code them myself, used up to 1 month to finalizing this theme (less free time to do things I like). I hope you would like this theme and visit more often. I have check for the server load time. You won’t have a trouble to load my blog even if you use dial-up internet connection.

I will update you more about the feature of this theme and I’m going to release my previous theme as a free download with a demo site.

Ok, I know I need to give a sufficient explanation on why I suddenly disappear from the blogosphere surface for 10 days without any voice at all. The main reason was about my primary job.

I got a killing project that I have to devoted all my time to serves it well. I’ve been working like a killing machine actually. It’s not a project that I could enjoy a bit. Well, It’s a 2 weeks project and my responsibility on that project is going to end tomorrow, anyway. As I got some spare time today, I’m going to use as effective as I can to where my passion is.

But before anything, I really need to say “THANK YOU!” to some of my loyal friends who still keep supporting me when I’m not around. It’s the greatest gift I’ve ever get in this blogging world. I realize that blogging friends it’s so caring and some with a very warm-hearted friends keep sending me email to ask my whereabout :).

Some of them that I couldn’t bear to not mentioning them here are YC from InternetMarketingMind.com and Pearl from FreshPerspectives.net. May be they’re not realizing how much support they have gave to me, but one thing that I can make sure is that they have put me in a condition that I’m not “forgotten” as I’m not posting for more than 10 days.

I believe every blogger will scare for this scenario, where they are forgotten as they are not posting regularly. I’m thinking it as a grace from God to reward me at what I’ve done for my audience since the last 7 months. I’m feeling really good as if I have a sufficient energy to blog thru the next 365 days!

Well, I know this post has no benefit at all for you. And may be your will unsubscribe from my feed or immediately delete me from your bookmark. But I have a request for you. Please don’t leave me yet. Why? Because you will be missing out some great content in the upcoming days. I promise you that you will feel the benefit of staying up with me a little longer.

If for the next 3 days I couldn’t make a great contents to tickles your creative brain, feel free to leave me without second thought!

It’s so impossible for me to escape and do what I love for some moment ago. I keep struggling to maintain both Blogging and working and the result was…

I was hospitalize for 2 days 1 night.

Well, I’m not sure if I’m able to blogging regularly from now on. It’s seem the condition is not allowing me to do a regular update for several months. I wouldn’t stress myself to much anymore since I noticed some serious decrease in my health problem. I going to decrease my posting frequency starting today. Hope you could understand this situation and keep supporting me.

• After the upgrade process complete, the database table is error. I will need to point to this URL: [yourURL]/wp-admin/upgrade.php to fix the problem.
• The first time trying to make a new post (this post, actually ) , And error occurred below the publish button. The culprit is Google Sitemap Plugin. Disable it and you will not facing any problem again. But you will need to find another plugin for sitemap.

I’m not using any sitemap generator right now, if you have any good recommendation, please comment below

• The incoming link is using Google BlogSearch instead of Technorati. It’s quite annoying because we couldn’t see who actually linking to us. It’s better to change back to technorati.

Steps to Replace the Google BlogSearch with Technorati Blog Reaction:

• Go to your server folder and find your wordpress installation folder.
• Find and click the wp-admin folder.
• You will see this file inside wp-admin folder: index-extra.php. Open it and you will get this line of code:

Other than that problems, I’m really have nothing to complain anymore.

I love the ‘advance toolbar’ and the integrated tagging services. I’m also love the integrated plugin which could notify me on the newer plugin (plugin that I’m using at) is available for download.

I ‘m sure, with this new version and my new theme, I will do a lot more of pillar post to build my blog. Hope this post is useful for you who haven’t upgrade your wp.

Finally I’m able to make my own theme for my blog.

It’s a 4 days hard works and the result is as you can see now. Although there are several bugs that I haven’t fixed, I could wait to see it up and running!

This post is to test the featured post section as you can see in the left sidebar. There is so many feature that I still want to add but haven’t add it. Will do a little change again after a several days.

I want to have a total revolution toward my blog appearance and blow some of my friends away!

My idea to redesign this blog is to show my enthusiasm on blogging. Well, the true reason of redesigning is actually felling challenged by Carlocab.com, the 14-years old guy who could redesign his blog by himself! Wow!

Todays Underage guys are just too awesome in many subject. May be in the future, big part of successful blogs are backbone by underage kid! That’s an amazing Imagination, btw.

I just don’t want to lose and now I’m redesigning my appearance. Well, I know that Appearance is not so important and should focus on building content and relationship. But Appearance become the first judge whether reader is going to stay longer or not.

It’s quite important to make a “great impression” instead of “good impression”. Chance are, reader will be more focus on the content and having a good time scanning through my contents easily.

I will launch my new theme next couple of days (Probably Monday). So, please stay with me if you would like to see some pro-design theme from me!

I think Blogrush.com Widget has spread its wings wide until today. Since the first launch (last weekend), I have implemented the widget in my blog sidebar. If you still don’t have a clue about what BlogRush.com is, you could read some review from several renowned bloggers:

• Yaro - BlogRush - Will it increase your blog traffic?
• DoshDosh - BlogRush Review: Using Widgets to Get Traffic to Your Blog
• Andy Beard - BlogRush - Free Blog Traffic - Indepth Reviews
• John Chow - Increase your blog traffic with BlogRush

BlogRush managed to skyhigh its traffic to the roof. You could see its Alexa traffic rank shown by John Chow (above link).

But something that is pretty disappointing is, BlogRush couldn’t bring more traffic to our blog if our pageview is low. From my personal stats, I only get 2 clicks from 200 impressions. It’s mean I have wasted my 200 pageview into nothing but 2 clicks to my blog, yet, I don’t know if they are a 5 seconds visitor or not. Come and away like wind!

Darren from problogger revealed us his personal stats and he wasn’t get any high clickthrough rate also!

while my headlines have been shown around 70,000 times I’ve only had 35 clicks on them. That is an extremely low Click Through Rate. - Darren

Widget in the sidebar always not able to get any serious attention from blogger and reader. Except they are a very curious browser or when they have nothing to do and browse around each corner of your blog.

Well, as this blogrush widget program is still in a beta state, we couldn’t judge it seriously yet. As John Reese claimed to have more advance planning to benefiting their users, I’m truly hope John could fulfill his promise to us.

You could find his comments in Replying some user who claimed to not getting any good result from this BlogRush widget at Maki’s Blog, and another comments on problogger.net about Adsense TOS violation.

I’ve also read some suggestion from Mashable.com:

But while we try to be open minded about new sites, the BlogRush idea does hark back to “Web 1.0″ traffic exchanges. In these systems, you would earn exposure for your site by browsing other sites. However, these services eventually flamed out when they failed to deliver on their promises. Our take: don’t get your hopes up, because this one may not last forever.

Wow, pretty bold, huh? don’t get your hopes up. Just make sure this tools wouldn’t become your sole traffic source. You will die from it. Is it true?

Nah, I don’t think we can’t make up this conclusion yet. It still have a long way to go. Let’s see what John Reese - the super marketer, could do for us instead of hyping his product across the blogosphere.

IMHO - In My Honest Opinion

Don’t hope a lot from BlogRush for now. You may put the widget on your blog for fun to collect more credit point for your future use. I don’t know if John Reese will make it as paid service or not in the future, you could always drop this widget any time as you wish if you see no result for couple of weeks laters.

There is a bunch of traffic generator that is far more better than the current BlogRush. Don’t get slaved by the new technology bluntly.

Personal Idea for tweaking Blogrush Widget

While putting blogrush widget in the sidebar is not good for your impression, Why don’t you put it at your end of your blog post, beside the related posts list? It could give your reader another option of reading.

I’m tweaking my blog single.php now to suit blogrush in the last part of my post and see if this action would rise the CTR or not.

Afterall, Join blogrush, and have fun with it. If you are lucky, you may be able to get a “Rush Hours” of Blog Traffic to your blog!

I have been very curious on Google-PR (PageRank) lately. I do a lot of research and found a lot of articles. Recently, iWebtool show me a good impression of Pagerank prediction and I would like to share it with you. The prediction of feature PR of this page is around 5 with 75%.

I’m very happy back then… Extra happy and I was jumping like kangaroo around my room. I know, It’s just a prediction that calculated roughly. But I’m sure I can do a lot of massive things if my PR is 5 (like linkbaiting and I could draw more advertisers! )

Well… I know PR is just another measurement tool to indicate how popular is our blog. But removing the Green-o-meter is not a good idea, I think…

Beside the PR industry would disappear and make lots of webmaster and Blogger suffer, SEO trick about Link building will become useless. Well, my SEO knowledge is not deep enough to speak far from this. But in my opinion, If google want to remove their PR system, they should invent another greater system before taking any move.

It’s now depend on Google’s. The next move will indicate google is a human operated (will think of the big impact to Their Users) or a Machine operated with Processor Mind and Iron Hearted Company.
