I was wondering about having my own HD-DVD Player these two days. But, I found out some interesting fact about HD-DVD Player. So, I’m going to review some real facts that make me change my mind! 
May be, from the title of this post, you’ve figure out what I’m going to say on this post. And yes, I’m going to make a comparison of them. If you have ever read about this story, may be you should just read more below! 
Ok, ok.. So, what facts you are going to show me?
Straight answer : “Facts that change my mind to not buying HD-DVD player!”
The reasons that make me cancel my order are because :
- It’s suck!
- It’s Expensive!
- Read back from point 1!
No kidding here. It’s suck because I could get more with his competitor, the Blue-Ray Disc!
Although they both are using blue “ray” for reading their disc, HD-DVD lose its competition on data storage. HD-DVD can only storing as much as 30 Gigs of data, while Blue-Ray can store as much as 50 Gigs!
And It’s Expensive! The player itself or the disc will cost you as high as sky! 
I can’t figure out the price because may be you are in a different country I live. But, the overall is expensive for HD-DVD or the Player.
How about Blue-Ray? Hmmm… this one is a real cool one. It’s also expensive though…
But, PS3 comes to rescue! Yeah, my favorite Machine of my life!
PS3 make me love it even more because now, beside as a playing console, it also have an ability to play all Media Formats (Including Blue-Ray)!
Again, PS3 is suitable for my favorite idiom “one stone two birds”. Because if you have a mind to buy PS3 as your Home Media Player, you’ll also get the greatest console in the world!
Great change are, It’s Cheap and you can find it anywhere!
I don’t know how you are going to see this, but if you are a multimedia freaks, I’m sure this hardware have been sit nicely beside your TV-rack! 
If not, you may lose HUGE changes to enjoy the High quality Movies and Playing the greatest games ever in this world! 
Believe me, this console is going to rule the world some day (or it may have been a king now!).
For you who reside in U.S., you can buy it online! Let them send you to your front door! How nice!
You could find at online store like newegg.com(599), buy.com(549) or amazon.com(599).
And for you who’s outside U.S., I think you should go to your favorite game store to purchase yourself!
It is so sad for us who don’t live at U.S., It seem that we can’t order anything that looks great online!
This ticks me a lot! Which I will discuss seriously on the next post!

PS3 is not that good. Ever tried to browse the file system and catalog your media files they way you want to? hmmm I think not. No problem on the xbox though.

Hi, john. Thanks for your precious opinions. It’s true that PS3 is less feature, But I think PS3 is the low-end Blue Ray Player which you can grab at affordable price.
Reply to Ken XuIf not, you need to pay-out as much as 1000 dollars to buy a good player to be able to play blue ray disc.

The PS3 offers so much more - on top of being a blu-ray player too! Games! Multimedia! Linux! Internet! and so much more… win-win

Hi,
Couldnt help but comment here. If you read the reviews for PS3 Blue-Ray player - its actually much better than most stand alone players. The quality is top notch - and it beats hands down, the Samsung Blue-Ray Player the HD-1000. Hence, its not a cheap quality player (the PS3). THe only reason the PS3 console is cheaper than stand alone is that PS3 expects to make money through the sale of their games
