Discovering the True Wealth in Blogging - Part 1

By Ken Xu on Jun 12, 2007 in Blogging

Blogging have become a trend to make money now. Everybody talk about money making blogging. Every online person have the desires and want to be in a spotlight and want to be interviewed as an expert in blogging.

Even a “just born” Blogs Claiming themselves as expert and want to share their wealth of knowledge to assist you to your wealth in blogging.

It was unbelievable in any point of view… when a $10 monthly earning people, want to teach you how to earn $10.000 monthly… sound’s funny, huh?

Well, I’m not going to tell you that I was high earning too! I was also a learner like you. Hope to earn big money next year!

In fact, money should not become your first motivational tool to successfully become wealth in blogging.

Mani Karthik explain well with this term and I’m totally agree with him!

He wrote the “top 5 mistakes I did When I Started Blogging” which have become my top principles in blogging too! Read it, and you will know!

As a review, He tell you to “Give” then “Take” and You will “Reap” what you’ve “Seed”. Edward Xu also have done a great job sharing his idea on Reap what you’ve Sow in his new post, “It’s all about Vibration”.

He’s stress out some important things to become your remainder of failing in becoming a blogger. But I still need to add something to his ideas.

While Peoples are talking about the technical ways to get wealthy by blogging, I will make a distinction in my point of view…

I believe, “beliefs” take control of your blogging journey. If you can’t form a great power of “belief”. You will fail no matter what you have done to your blog.

“Success is merely the absence of failure..!” by president of Sitesell.com

On a daily basis, if you are a hardworking beginner blogger, you’ll face so many failures. Small or Big, happening again and again every day. Bad Typos, Bad Comments, Having writer blocks, Can’t increase traffic, and bla-bla-bla! Until you’ve really form your own formula and principles in blogging, I believe, your courage & belief is reducing day by day until the day you are going to say “I GIVE UP!”

Please don’t give up! Failures exist to help you recognizing “Success” on your blogging journey. Without failures, you will know nothing about Successes.

Vince Cordic tell me an interesting information on blogging. His post on “Why do 97% of People Fail to Make Money Online” is good enough for us to do a self-introspection on :

Ken Evoy also wrote a really good ebook in expressing the true reasons of “Why People Fail!

You know that there are 13 types of peoples who will fail if they’re not taking any moves to fix their habits. The question that you must ask yourself after reading this ebook is, “Am I one of them?

If so, find a way to change your mindset to a good one! I see Ken have give you some solution on every bad habit. Realize it, and than Change it! (”It” is Ken’s moto of all the time!)

The true wealth in blogging, is mainly on this 6 bullets below:

  • Personal Growth
  • Friends/Community
  • Fame/Popularity
  • Technic/Knowledge/Skill
  • Traffic
  • Money

Personal growth get the highest rank because while blogging, you’ll learn lot of stuffs to change your blog performance and yourself. From human relationship to data communication (PHP and MySQL). That’s what I got this 3 months (but still the skin, actually).

Blogging also will invited some Negative Thinking Freaks who will try to smash you down on every effort you have made. Only with enough power of “Positive thinking” and “Steel Solid Belief System“, you can avoid yourself from them and keep raging your blogging to the top! Luckily, you acquire those skills if you really want to learn about it!

By allowing your Personal to Growth even more, You will feel more passion on blogging. One of the factor that trigger Personal Growth is to have a Positive Thinking Mindset. By Thinking Positively, all matter seems like a child play and you won’t care much on what others’ thinking about yourself.

Every obstacles that comes to you will only strengthen your Mind and Soul and won’t lowering your courage to do something BIG!

I have wrote a post about the power of positive thinking for you. Hope this post will help you to notice the key point of successful people’s mind.

Personal Growth, Positive thinking and Steel Solid Belief System are the union of your First Wealth in blogging. You can’t omit it nor avoid it. As soon as you jump in to the blogging world, you’ll need to find this wealth first before anything.

If not, You will die in pain by other’s words and sarcastic sentences without any fight back to defend your ideas!

The second one is Friends or your Community. This also one of your wealth in blogging. It’s the second Wealth, but it’s as important as the first! Why?

Well, let’s safe it for the part 2!

On the next part, I will let you know how the blogging gurus find the “friend/Community” Wealth and how to maintain it!

You have some ideas? Put your comments below! I’d love to hear some feedback from you. And I will reward you so badly if you can point out my “wrong” side clearly!

No need to hesitate, Shout out your idea now! Let’s share our ideas together and make a true formula to success for our blog. Adios!

Nice post Ken Xu and thanks for the mention..

I agree that failure is a part of success. Failure is a learning tool, and with every failure you should learn something, whether it be big or small.
