Hi! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my Full feeds and by Email to receive free daily updates. Thanks for visiting! Have a nice day! :-)
I’ve been wondering about scheduled posting issues since I was in my project a week ago. I wonder how about if I scheduled up everything and set things automatically? I only need to worry building up communication channel just like what the expert suggesting. Will it effect anything?
I guess many blogger have use this feature to the fullest. For example, John Chow or may be one of my buddy, Nirmal.
He scheduled up everything before he went to his sweetest memory of his life (wedding) and I saw his blog still moving properly although he didn’t take any serious part in the discussion of each blog for 1 month!
Actually I want to do some testing to see what is the result. I am going to use up all my weekend (Saturday) to write 6 pillar posts for next week and I will focus on bringing in more traffic on the next Monday thru Saturday.
I will have the answer next Sunday. If it prove to be able to increase a my stats, I write about my progress into one report/post that you can use to help yourself too.
See ya again!

I imagine that scheduling posts would work. I write a sports blog though so it wouldn’t work for me. You could also try to get some guest posters if you can’t make the updates

Hi, houroc. You are right. Not any type of blog is suitable for this feature, especially those blogging about latest news and technology.

Scheduling post is one of the best ways to blog even when you are busy with work. Your readers will have something new all the time even though you are not available.
It has been great success for me till now.

Scheduling posts seems to be one of the best ways to keep a blog alive when we get busy with other things… I’ve been struggling with it myself lately!

Sceduling posts is a good strategy. If you can write multiple posts when you have time why not schedule it them and then concentrate on traffic improvement.

It seems that since you started the schedualing thing and you didn’t post enough, I think things should go time by time, if you have the mood to write then write and discuss whenever you have the mood for that too,
Anyway, schedualing doesn’t work with everybody, may be with some but not everybody, I wish you good luck though,
Regards.

Hi Ken. I don’t see any harm in doing scheduled posts, I mean, it’s the next best thing if you have to take an extended leave from your blog.

I blieve that blogs are things at the moments, even if you try to schedual them then I don’t think they will be great as you write them at the moment!

I think it depends on the subject of your blog.
For some how can you post on the latest news on your topic if you are posting in advance.
But I have a camping blog for instance, and I post about cool places to camp. It is very handy to do all the posts for the week at once on that site.

Scheduling posts is a good idea - especially useful to protect yourselves from unforeseen problems in life - something that all parttime bloggers have.
PS: Do me a favour and use tabbing to reduce the area taken by all the post listing between post content and comments

I’ve found that scheduled posts, or pre-written content can be a godsend when you hit a spell of writer’s block, but it really depends on the nature of your blog. For those that are socially driven (through active promotion on tools like stumbleupon, digg, etc) having the content prepared ahead of time only saves you a portion of your day as you still have to promote the content.
For sites where the majority of your readers are loyal visitors or subscribers then it’s a great idea.

For me, it depends, a sports blog needs to be timely and updated for any sporting updates so you have to schedule everything.
But in general most importantly I think its regular posting coupled with good promotion.
